My teaching philosophy centers around the goal of my students developing control of their own learning by becoming independent thinkers, problem solving on their own, and understanding critical methods for effective practice and successful performance.
My Qualifications:
- Over 15 years of experience teaching the violin
- Taught at The Juilliard School, Yale University, and University of Southern California
- Performed at venues like Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Jordan Hall
- Won numerous competitions including Concert Artists Guild, M-Prize Chamber Arts, Cremona Solo Violin Competition
- Received awards from the St. Botolph Club Foundation and Tarisio Trust
- Frequently give masterclasses at institutions across the country like James Madison University and Cal State Long Beach
- Teach regularly at prestigious festivals including Juilliard’s Summer Performing Arts Program and Interlochen’s Violin Institute
